Enjoy the character-filled neighborhoods of Ueno and Nippori with the Keisei Skyliner, which connects Tokyo and Narita Airport!

Keisei Electric Railway's "Skyliner" is an express train connecting Narita International Airport and Keisei Ueno Station. The number of passengers is rapidly increasing due to comfortable and speedy ride time of just 36 minutes from Nippori Station to Airport Terminal 2 Station. All seats on the Keisei Skyliner require reservation, and the fare is 2,580 yen one-way for adults (1,270 yen for a ticket on the Keisei Line and 1,310 yen for a Keisei Skyliner express ticket).

In addition, a special platform has been set up to distinguish the Skyliner from ordinary trains. Please double-check the train and platform when you board as to not make a mistake!

The Keisei Skyliner is an 8-car train with generous leg room and reclining seats for a comfortable ride. All train cars are equipped with ample space for large luggage to be stored. Free WiFi is available on board, and electricity outlets are conveniently located at the foot of the seats, so passengers can recharge their electronic devices enroute.

In addition to the regular Skyliner, a train decorated in the style of the world-famous soccer manga "Captain Tsubasa" is now available for a limited time only. The name of the train is "Captain Tsubasa Liner", and it will run between Keisei Ueno Station and Narita Airport Station until around December 2024.

Inside the "Captain Tsubasa Liner" train cars, there are detailed decorations and videos of the main characters and scenes from the anime.

A giant soccer ball sculpture has been erected at platform 2 of Keisei Ueno Station to coincide with the train's operation. The exciting work shows a ball kicked into the wall by the manga’s main character, Tsubasa Oozora! Crowds of people shop here for New Year’s goods in what has become an informal year-end tradition.

The sprawling Ueno Park is home to the Ueno Zoo and many other wonderful museums and art galleries. The area has long been famous for its cherry blossoms, so it may come as no surprise that the Ueno Park has been selected as one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan. The cherry blossom season usually lasts from late March to early April, when hundreds of thousands of visitors come to view the cherry blossoms. 800 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees enter full bloom, making for a fantastic sight.

The discount store "Takeya" in Ueno Okachimachi is popular not only among tourists from all over the world, but also among local residents because of its overwhelming selection of goods. It is said that a whole day isn’t even enough time to take in this colossal store!
The store consists of two buildings, TAKEYA1 and TAKEYA3, and is known as the "purple building" because of the purple color of the exterior walls of the two buildings. The store offers a wide variety of products, including food, daily sundries, cosmetics, alcoholic beverages, pharmaceuticals, and brand-name bags.
